I started Investing Out Loud because I wanted a place to share what I'm learning about investing.

Investing Used to Feel Like Gambling

For a long time, investing in the stock market felt like gambling to me. I wanted to make smart decisions with my money, but I didn't always understand what I was doing. That made investing in stocks feel confusing and out of my control.

That began to change when I started learning from experienced investors through the Goat Academy. The more I learned, the more I realized that investing isn't just about guessing what the market is going to do. There are principles you can learn, understand, and use to make better decisions.

I'm Still Learning

I'm not a financial advisor or an investing expert. I'm just someone who became interested in the stock market and decided to take the time to really learn how it works.

Writing about what I'm learning helps me understand it better. It also gives me a place to look back and see what I’ve learned, and how my understanding of the market has grown over time.

Learning Out Loud

That's what Investing Out Loud is all about. It's my investment journal, a place where I can share what I'm learning, what I'm thinking about, and sometimes what I've gotten wrong.

I'm not here to tell anyone what they should buy or sell. I'm simply sharing my own journey in the hope that something I write might be helpful to someone else who is trying to learn, too.
